As we all know, abortion is an extremely controversial issue in today's society. Many people say abortion should be illegal as it is taking away the life of an innocent child and because all life is sacred. While on the other hand, many people think that abortion should be legal as it is a woman's right to do what she wants with her body and she deserves to have the choice of what to do.

The Fiscal cliff is soon approaching! But, what does this mean to average taxpayer?

The Fiscal cliff is a result of Republicans and Democrats refusing to cooperate in the two houses. Democrats largely control the Senate while the republicans control the House of Representatives. Now, with the election of a Democratic President the stalemate is sure to continue. But, this fiscal cliff may bring some hope of compromise between the Republicans and Democrats.

With the conclusion of my research on same-sex marriage legislation, I wanted to look back to where it all started--New York. Even though same-sex marriage legalization was highly approved by the New Yorkers, there still was hesitation to pass the bill way back in June 2011. “The pivotal decision with national consequences looked more and more likely to rest in the hands of just two Republican Catholics from conservative upstate areas.”
