When you think about academic curriculums the first few things that may come into mind are English, Math, History, and Science, but what about Art? Some people won’t even consider art as an academic curriculum, but nonetheless Art is an important subject because it has so much to offer.
The general topic that I am interested in is the inequity of the education system in public school. This means that certain students experience the inadequacy of resources and they are being affected. The government does not address this issue in our society very well. For example, there is a lack of access to computers, there are dilapidated classrooms, lack of curriculum and subjects being offered, and finally food for students is nasty.
Should there be a Current Events class included in the current high school curriculum? Should this be an additional class or instead of the regular Social Studies class or incorporated into a class already in the curriculum? Why or why not is it important to be knowledgeable of what is going on in modern society?
