The last place I read my book was on the train on my ride home today. I read from page 25 to page 66 in “Wanted: A Pretty Little Liars novel” By Sara Shepard. I really like this story so far. It’s about 4 girls who deal with the death of one of their former best friends. While they are deal with the grief, an anonymous person named “A” sends them messages, threatening them and informing them that he/she knows their secrets. The problem driving the plot is person vs. society, person vs. person, and person vs. self.
Emma, the protagonist in Harmless, has a few traits you should know about. One, she is lively (towards the beginning of the book). Two, she is sensible. Three, she is weak. You have to pay attention to these traits because they influence her relationship with others, and her actions. “My tears had stopped. I knew the seriousness of what I’d just revealed to Ms. Malachy, and the consequences a revelation like that might bring.” Page 207. Did you see how weak comes into play. She’s emotionally weak. She couldn’t handle the guilt of the lie.
Recently, I read Harmless by Dana Reinhardt. I appreciated this book. I appreciated the book because the message behind the story was a touching one. From what I understood the message was pretty much is to always think before you act. There are plenty of other messages in the story but I noticed this one more.
Lady Q by Reymundo Sanchez and Sonia Rodriguez is a really great book. I felt as if I were Lady Q. I never wanted that book to end. Reading that book opened my eyes up to female roles in the gang life. I related to that book because now and days, many people are persuaded into that stuff, and to see how Hispanics were mistreated really explained why many of us revolved in the gang life. I loved this book so much ! I love the fact that it was all straight up ! no secrets no nothing ! They said everything plain and simple. It gave a real intro about the real world, it’s ruff out there.
My topic is about trust issues. Trust issues its something that lots of us have. What made me interested in this topic was “Facebook status.” Most of the status on Facebook are about trust issues. How friends think that everybody's fake, and how every partner in a couple thinks the other is cheating. I knew that trust issues its build up by life experience and the events that cause this.
My topic is about Trust in Relationships, what got me to choose this topic is the problems I’ve had before in relationships. I already knew that a lot of people say that trust in one of the main problems relationships have. But my question is why do some couples stay in the relationship after finding out things. I hope to argue that Trust in relationship is really important, but once you break that trust it takes a long way to gain it. Because for me things won’t be the same as it was at the beginning, you have to prove me that you really want that trust again.
I’ve been interested in this topic because I want to figure out the reason of why do men cheats, and it’s something that been happening all over the world most likely with teenagers. However, I interested in doing this topic because I had been cheated before. So, I want to learn more deep about is this a temptation or just a unintentional situation. Therefore, I learn lesson about it because the last relationship I had my ex-boyfriend cheated on me and I didn’t find out but he told me that he did instead. After all, I decided to move on just be friend with him.
Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been why do people lie. I remember my best friend talking about it the day of my birthday, but it was my birthday so I didn't really pay attention to it.. Lately, the issue has caught my eye again. I know that many people feel that lies are the solution to the big problems. From what I have heard, lies are not healthy and could get you in lots of trouble especially when it comes to relationships. For example, I heard that lies could be told quickly and it could make the problem easier to resolved.
Trust is a two way street, you get what you give. It's really hard for me to trust some. I have bad experience with trusting and that’s why I make it such of a big deal. It's out there, there’s people that you think you can trust but that’s the problem. People get to confide within one another and that’s what people don’t realize. If two people trust each other and speak about what no one else knows but themselves, now someone else knows your secrets and what if the relationship between you two, no matter what the relationship it, ends up failing? People are cruel and ill minded.
Liars can be very deceiving which interferes with trust. Misleading you to believe a lie that isn’t worth saying. Lying for some people help them but then at the end can mess up any type of relationship in the future. It may take seconds to make a quick lie but the truth will pay off in the long run once you get caught.
