Yesterday, many of us sat down to enjoy our state's greatest college football rivalry: the Utah Utes battled the BYU Cougars in yet another heated match. The game was simply high intensity. Personal foul (bad sportsmanship) flags pounded the turf, as did bodies of players knocked around in between plays. This type of in-your-face football is to be expected in such an important game. Fans from all over the state came out in red or blue with all of their hopes on the line. In the end, the Cougars outplayed the Utes with a strong overtime finish. This temporary shock cant be good for the emotional health of Ute players and fans. However, the class and pride of the Cougars coming off their victory was very quickly shattered by an arrogant BYU quarterback. Oops- Max Hall ruined things off the field as quickly as he had succeeded on it.
