In August of 2015, I was invited to go with my best friend, Sean, to his annual trip to Petoskey, MI. I stayed at a cottage with him, his mom, his step-dad, and two step-sisters in Bay Harbor, a small town in Petoskey.

“Alec watch out!” I dive out of the way, just as a swimmer races by me, as fast as a bullet. I come up to take a breath, and see my light brown hair reflected back at me from the water surface. I love to swim, always have, always will. The girl I have a crush on inspired me to swim. You know, the mermaid with red hair and an awesome singing voice? Yes, in case you haven’t figured it out, I have a crush on Ariel.
I recently read the book 'Gone' by Michael Grant. It starts off with a few kids at school, talking about how boring a class is but then something happens. The teacher that was right in front of them a second ago, disappeared! Everyone went out of their classrooms and freaked out. All the other teachers had vanished too! The oldest kids that were still there were the fourteen year old. Everyone that was fifteen and above that were gone. Orc, a big bully, took control.

It's the end of the school year. The last day will definitely leave a bittersweet feeling. It will be sad because you won't be able to see some of your friends for two months. But it also makes you happy because you have a nice long break from all that work. It's time for summer. Summer: This is the word that many have come to love. Summer, a time of peace and rest. Summer, a time where no homework is given. It is a time that where you can do anything, even if that anything is doing nothing. Summer is a wonderful time, and it is no wonder why so many people love it.
This summer, I am going to ride a plane to China. I will stay there for 2 months. I will be visiting Beijing, Shanghai, and many other big cities of China. I will also be going to rural areas of China. I have a pool in China, and I love swimming in it. I can't wait to swim in my pool. I am excited to see all of my relatives again, too. I haven't seen them in 3 years, and I miss them a lot.
It is the summer before Auden's first year in college. She has decided to visit her father, step mother, and new sister. she is looking for a break form her cynical, feminist, mother.
All of Auden's life she has cared about academics and nothing more. She never had a normal childhood because of this and was often outcasted by others.
On Auden's first day she meets a boy named Jack and hooks up with him in the dunes at the beach at a bonfire party. She regrets this when she finds out he is on the rebound when she meets his exgirlfriend the net day. they both work at the same store.
Like a glimmering lake in the sun
it shines so very brightly.
On the outside.
On the inside,
it feels smooth,
But it doesn't shine as brightly,
it may be bright,
on the outside,
but on the inside,
