In the book The Tent Steve and his father were still going around lying about his father's job as a preacher. Steve’s father actually got the idea from an old military buddy of his that did that after leaving the army, who then wrote back after several years with a picture of him in front of a fancy car saying “ I’m rich.” When Steve’s father committed to this false job as a preacher Steve was totally against it. After several times doing it and lying so much Steve became a little more calm.
Do family and friends affect social life at work? No, when workers they go to their jobs they go only to work hard and get paid and pay th bills or for family.
There are series of problems in a human being, everyone has their own life they have to worry about. They can lend a helping hand when that one person is having a tough time.
In Ann Major's essay, “Should teens work part time jobs?” from Helium.com, the author talks about the cons of teens with part time jobs and why they don’t need them.
Basically I'm talking about this big decision I have to make: if I want to graduate or be a nobody and its looking like im going to quit my job just so that I can be happy later. It's hard because I thought I would have finally been going to Honda Day in April in my very own Civic, but things don't always go as planned. Hopefully something good will happen from all this.
I finished the entire book
In the book "The City of Ember" by Jeanne DuPrau, there is an occasional black out every now and then. Doon Harrow has an idea on how to solve the problem if he can get to the generators (that means working as a pipework laborer). Lina Mayfleet who desperately wants to be a messenger, draw out the job as pipework laborer. On the other hands, Doon Harrow draws out messenger and he asks Lina to trade with him in which Lina agrees. Together, they explore the secrets of the City of Ember.
I found the following quote interesting:

In the book The City Of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau, I found the following quote interesting: "If he was going to be stuck in the Pipeworks, he would at least not waste the time he had."
What is the point of college? Will it make the value of life better? Or will it just be another speed bump? According to Louis Menand college is what you make of it. He was an Ivy-League professor before he was transferred to a traditional public university system. The change for him was drastic. The students from the public university compared to Ivy-League was of course known to be different but in the ways was shocking.
In The City Of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau, I found the following quote interesting:"First we get our education. Then we serve our city." In the old City of Ember, the lights flicker on and off every now and then. Everything in the city was in need of repair. There is a fear from the citizens that once the lights go out, it won't turn back on. In the text, it is Assignment Day and the graduating students are assigned jobs in the year 241. Jobs are chosen randomly by the students as it is their duty to serve for the city.
I’ve been reading “Sacred Economics” by Charles Eisenstein for a couple of days and now I’ve finished reading the entire introduction. When I first began reading this book, I was immediately able to connect with the author. It was like we shared the same thoughts and opinions, although his are quite obviously more detailed and specific. The author starts off by letting the reader know the whole purpose of the book and that is to make the economy, but more importantly money, sacred. A sacred object is something that is held in high regards.
The essence of what I've learned today doing lesson 2 of chemistry was the difference of physical and chemical changes. I also learned that physical and chemical changes are being performed quite often because every time you split a cookie or rip a piece of paper you are doing a physical change. Chemical change are being done every time someone makes a meal or bakes a cake or cookies. So that's what I've learned in lesson 2 of chemistry
Hello Youthvoices this is Shamar and this is my first day back in school and I am a litter excited. The school have decided to take a different approach on education. We no longer need papers, notebooks, and pencils because we are doing everything on a computer which I think is pretty cool. There are only a few bad things this year and that would be the fact that there will be no trips this year and we have to stay in one class for the whole day so we get kind of restless and agitated but I am trying to work through it so I don't get bored but other then that everything is good.
This summer i finally got my first job. I worked at Rye play land amusement park, I learned alot. The first thing i did there was make cotton candy i wasn't successful with that so i took a test to run a ride called the skyflyer. I passed the test but little did i know what i was getting myself into.. every morning & afternoon the sun beamed right on me, i was kind of upset but i got through it because i had a nice person as my partner. Her name is Elsa & she's beyond cool.

There is a game politics like to play with one another, twisting eachother's words and sentences, facial expressions and gestures to work against their opponent. This past week, political powerhouses Hilary Rosen and Ann Romney did a little more than clash, when Rosen, a Democratic Strategist, made a truthful, but apparently "two-faced" comment towards Ann Romney. Wednesday night (4/11) on CNN Rosen was asked about the supposed "war on women" (a term she doesn't approve of), and how most women in today's voting polls are showing interest and worry in the economy above anything else.
Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been if television distracts students from school. I remember my mom talking about it a few months ago, but I wasn’t really interested in the conversation at the time. Lately, the issue has caught my eye again. I know that many people feel that TV is bad for your brain and it’s just a waste of time and that there’s nothing smart on TV. From what I have heard, TV can make you less intelligent. For example, I hear that watching television can decrease your attention span and your ability to focus.
If you have any sort of education background you have most likely experienced something along the same lines of dead week. There is one week left till the semester ends and every single teacher thinks that this is their time to assign as many homework assignemnts as possible, give students the manadatory task of reading a good five chapters in a textbook, or scheduling a huge exam on the same day that three other teachers also had the same great idea. Unless a student wants to fail during these few days, they must turn into some superman kind of human in order to make it through.
What’s my goal for this school Year? For this school year, my goals to accomplish, will be to pass all my quiz and test. Do all my homework and always stay focus in class and don’t get distracted by other students. I believe in myself that I will pass all my classes.
So far since I started school, I've been doing well, coming to class on time, passing my test and I handed in every assignment and homework. I’m planning on getting all my work done, because I passed all my regents and hopefully I can graduate by March, and start college in October.
HELL NO janie made the wrong decision in leaving the guy just like that she ran away from her husband with a man named joe thats just cold if she wasnt happy in her relationshio she should of been women enought to be honest with the man and told him the way she felt maybe they could of worked things out and if they didnt they should of gotten a divorce but running away with another man thats just cold and childish. I just think that she should of made other decison on the way she would do things like i dont think she would be so happy if they guy did the same thing to her......
After
her abrupt leave from her previous husband Logan, Janie set out to live
with Joe Starks. He is a man that is wealthy and heard a new town was
being created, he wanted to be a big voice there. Starks is a very
ambitious character, but stumbled upon the pretty Janie and decided to
bring her along on his ride to royalty in a new town.
These are my reflections after reading Chapter 5 in Their Eyes were Watching God.
Since Joe had already been so occupied with too much work as a mayor, he and Janie barely even have time to be together. Joe has been spending too much time trying to call out for assemblies and hold gatherings within their area. Because of this, his time for Janie had been lessened even more than the usual.
