The picture I took was a depth of field shot. The photo was of a storefront with two cars and a bicycle parked outside. Rather than capturing just coastal Maine in this shot, I got a picture that was more unique to Rockland and/or a small town.
My picture was more contemporary than anything else. I took the picture because it looked good to me, and I thought it was laid out pretty well already.
There was quite a bit of symmetry in my shot because there was a car on each side of the store front and then the entrance of the store was right in the middle of the print. Also, there were some third lines visible that lined up with the door of the store.
This print was easy to print because I didn't have to do any burning or dodging. It only took me about two prints to get to the final print that I needed and then I was able to mat it.
