In Emily Miller's opinion piece, "MILLER: Obama’s debt ultimatum", from The Washington Times, the author talks about how President Obama is trying to raise the debt limit and the author is against Obama on the issue and feels the statutory debt limit should not be raised. The Republican Party doesn't want to raise it and are against Obama.

In Tim Huelskamp's opinion piece, "A budget plan that actually works", from The Washington Times, the author explains about how Congress absolutely must come up with a new, effective budget to get America out of debt, instead of just trying to avoid the problem.

Emily Miller's opinion piece called "Obama's debt ultimatum ," from
the Washing Post the author argues against raising the debt ceiling. She is kind of zinging Obama and believes that we shouldn’t raise the debt ceiling.

Miller uses Pathos by calling the piece "Obama's debt ultimatum." It is been
made clear through reading through two of her pieces that she is a
hard core republican. She is trying to make Obama look bad by calling
his solution to the fiscal cliff an "ultimatum."

Minorities are commonly looked down upon for being ignorant or uneducated. Ignorance is not hard to find in the lower to middle class, but how are we supposed to be college educated when education costs so much? College costs thousands of dollars and commonly leaves many graduates and dropouts in a lifetime of debt. Those who can’t afford it may get help from the government to attend college from programs such as FASFA, TAP and PEL.

The issue of American debt and the lack of safety nets, is of major importance to the country right now. the biggest solution is taxes yet many Americans don’t want an increase in taxes although in the long run it will benefit them, but I digress.

Dance is a huge part of my life, as i am sure it is for many people. Odyssey Dance Theater, is a local dance company that puts on annual shows, bringing together the small amount of people that do appreciate art in this city. Odyssey is known for their high energy, extremely talented dancers, dancing to music we can all appreciate.
