Facebook influences: Does Facebook Have Just As Many Good Sides As Bad Sides? If there is some palpable evidence, is it credible?

Facebook influences everyone who uses it. Even if its influences you to buy something or if it changes your sense of hummer, it's all the same. The only thing you can do about it is make sure you don't let it influence your every day life. Terrible things have happened to people who let them selfs get influenced by Facebook. Ex man killed his side because she changed her status on Facebook from married to single... If he was that worried about it he could have simply had a sit down with his wife about her Internet social life and fixed the little mis-hap...

I mean I really agree with this, that its great to hear someones voice, http://personal.crocodoc.com/ApaB0SM but texting is a faster way of communication, and its so much easier. With me and my parents I see them a lot and talk to them a lot, so I really think its not needed to talk to someone if you can just text them.

Also my parents are into Twitter and Facebook, so they know a lot about texting to begin with unlike in this article where the mom had no idea how to text.

Facebook has always been a temptation that has enticed many teens. I, however, remained unchanged by the want to make a Facebook. For the longest time, I used my desire to save time as a good reason why I did not want to make one. However, this summer, I ran out of things to fill up my time. So, because of this increased time resource, I finally took initiative and created a Facebook. I always heard that after one begins to use Facebook, he or she is officially chained to the computer by the Facebook site.

A new study suggests that nearly half of Americans believe that popular social-networking site facebook is merely a passing fad. The Associated Press and CNBC conducted a poll and found that 46% of respondents believe that Facebook will fade away as new platforms come up in the future. Still, about 43% believe the site will likely be successful for the long haul. The study was conducted among 1,000 Americans ages 18 and over, with a margin of error of 3.9%.

Social media is a new problem. It is not the sites such as facebook, twitter, or myspace that cause the problem, it is the problems of privacy that are associated with them. There have been several cases in which the privacy assurance of facebook has been questioned. One such case was the case in which Laura Maguire and Christopher Simon sued facebook because it had been violating privacy rights by tracking the internet sites accessed by user's even when they were not logged in. What's more is that something that an individual posts on a social media sites may seriously effect their future.

I am interested in learning if different social networks affect how students perform in school. Approximately a month ago, my sister and I did a study where we stayed off Facebook for two weeks that out grades would change. We did it, and our grades did change, and I started to focus more on what is going on in school rather than what I see on Facebook. I think if students start to think, they would realize that Facebook takes up too much time.

I was a skeptic of the infamous Twitter. For some time in fact, I resisted the urge to join, because I so falsely thought that it was a waste of time. I truly believed I had better things to do that share my mundane thoughts with cyber world. But being the conformist that I am (and being strongly urged by my dear friend Elliot)I made a Twitter. And unfortunately for the interweb, I love it. Which is why below, I have compiled a list of reasons why Twitter is fantastic.

The most interesting thing I have found out about facebook is how long of an effect the seemingly non-important information may have. What we may post or whichever pictures or videos we upload may seriously hurt chances that we have in lawsuits, careers, and even personal relationships.

Everything we upload on facebook-or any other social media site- can be retraced to us and may come back to haunt us later. Nothing is truly and forever private.

What Can Strangers Learn About You Online?

If you are like me or any other teenager in the nation there is a pretty good chance that you have a Facebook. Facebook has taken over social networking as we know it. You can post pics, statuses, music and pretty much anything you want people to know.

I like Facebook, it allows me to keep in touch with family and friends, and keep up to date on things. But lately I am noticing just how much time I am spending on it. Before Facebook I had to occupy myself with other things. Now when I am bored I automatically go to Facebook.

Many people see the Website Facebook as a great social that allows for people to contact other people or check up on others despite physical barriers like distance. It seem that everyone wanting to get more “friends” on Facebook as a sign that they are popular or social, using the amount of friends as kind of status symbol.
