No matter what language, my name means love. It means happiness. It means spending time with family. It means playing tennis. It means music. It means a flower, a small yet colorful mess full of hope. Hope that one day it will grow to become something wonderful. Something beautiful inside and out. It does not hide in the shadows, yearning to be like others, it thrives to be different, to be independent. To be strong and courageous. I am that flower. I am significant. I am Martina.
In Kodak's Top Ten Tips for photography, they say that close ups are important in photography because they get greater detail of the subject. In the photo above I tried to capture that concept. As shown in the photo I like to capture nature raw, without any filters, and the details either close up or zoomed out. I have learned so much about lighting and the importance of your angle in a picture. I can't wait to keep learning as this semester continues.
Every word I write
Is like my own precious form of magic
My golden Midas touch
But not just gold
Emerald, sapphire, the richest ruby
Falling from the petals of a crimson rose
Sparkling tears like little drops of fire
My magic is everything
I choose what it is
I choose the destiny of my stories
I chose my destiny
Some would like to take this power
But my spiraling torrent of magic
Is always there
Under my skin
In my mind
In my heart
In my soul
And if you try to quench these words
They will live on
He had warned Lindsey about the book now it was too late, because Lindsey read the book but she fell asleep as she was reading the book, and the book vines were coming out and Lindsey didn't feel anything. Is that what Mr linden had warned Lindsey about? The next morning when Lindsey woke up her room was filled with vines. Lindsey was scared between being a life or death. She was able to get some scissors and cut some vines but that did not stop the vines from holding her and keeping her in her bedroom.
The animation “Midnight Flower” is an original, inspired by the thought of magic and the flowers standing outside the garden. This animation is about a character named Silver, who in the first scene, appears suddenly near the Moon Pool. She’s under the trance of the Purple Moon, which just pops up. The scene changes to the school, where she discovers the effects of the Moon Pool, and her friend Amber swears to help Silver return to her normal condition. Amber meets some new characters, and she’s faced with two challenges. One she knew, the other one was all by trickery.
An important part of photography is to make your photos interesting and to grab the viewer's attention. There are several ways one can go about this; dramatic shadows, dramatic light, and something I think is important- color! Color has the ability to make your photo amazing.
Color automatically grabs people's attention.
I was trying to take pictures of nature during spring break. I wanted to show spring. I took pictures of flowers in my garden. This was my favorite picture. The sun was shining on the flower, thus it looks as if it is glowing.
The cropping on this photo brought focus on the more colorful and interesting part of the photo. Before, the image had parts of it colorful and others distracting and not as eye-catching. The crop brings out the best in the the photo so that the whole image is full of different colors and entertaining subjects.
For these photos I tried to play with different backgrounds, focus on certain body parts, and shoot candid shots. For the first photo, I tried shooting the photo with an interesting and creative background. This background ended up being a pool, I had my subject lean over the pool edge and I took the shot. I like how the water reflects off the pool surface as well in this. The second photo I tried focusing just on my subject's smile, and I also like the extra flower between her teeth. This adds something interesting to the photo, and adds just a bit more color.
English Pomponette are like tiny daises but are shaped like pom-poms with hot pink and yellow with a bit of white dots they are perennials and they take two years to bloom and then die in the fall the height of the plant is 6-12 inches tall and 6-12 inches wide
A dark presence suddenly you see a polar bear Later it becomes pale then ever so slowly the sun comes out Are you in Antarctica? No, you’re at the garden across from school At first so loud then so calm and serene Transformers is my favorite movie, but this was a change in nature The same flower over time turning different colors and distinct fragrances Just like I grew up from cub to tiger
Flower faces through all the weathers some were unfortunate and some bloomed gloriously there are sunflowers, dandelions, daisies, and more some flowers are cared and nourished in gardens some are in the public and in the wild and scary world some are at homes admired by the owners and sometimes they die because they are neglected Flowers are used for ceremonies and celebrations a symbol of feeling picked on and thrown on the floor then stepped on crushed into medicine and other ingredients Flowers are not only pleasurable to look at
This flower Violet Brimming with excitement It's yellow pollen Hiding from the fearsome bees It's defender buds Growing Oh so slowly Brimming in the sunlight This flower Stands isolated and alone With it's defending buds With its frightened yellow pollen It stands safely alone With it's family of flowers It is safe
This short Blood soaked plant Looks up on us As if it's ready to take us on They are battle scarred Battle scarred from fighting our chemicals Our nuclear weapons Our careless pollution They are drawn towards us with anger Wanting us to leave Leave this poor Earth alone It watches us Through it's battle scarred Blood soaked petals

Birth from the Earth, from soil to sky does one rise, From the depth of Hell to the Heaven above, Florish with life, beauty and soul, unique and special unbound to others, pride and glee, envy of all, soon made humble and content, by those around, grown in groups, born in a crowd, from pride to humility does one fall, alike all else, special no more, so is told by those cold, alike all else, is one not.
