My name is Stephanie Stoebe and I have been a certified teacher since 2000; I have been certified to teach in Texas, Hawaii, California, Arizona and Georgia. My husband just retired from active duty service in the United States Army and we moved in May of 2009 to Round Rock, Texas (21 years of moving!). I am presently teaching at a highly regarded high school, Round Rock High School, in Round Rock, Texas, where I serve as the school’s Response to Intervention Reading Specialist; I teach ninth through twelfth grade reading to those students who did not score with passing marks on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS).
I have a BA from the University of Nevada with a German Major and French Minor. I was a Fulbright Scholar to Czechoslovakia in 1992 and a Carr Scholarship recipient in 1998-2000. In addition to German and French, I also speak Slovak and Korean; I spent a year at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California learning Korean, which was by far the hardest language for me to learn. I study Latin with my son in my free time. I also enjoy gardening, reading and quilting.
