Today I looked at a blog about a presentation by the American Institute of Architects about how architects are promoting healthier more walkable cities. In New York one interesting thing they did was convert an old elevated rail track into a park, its called Highline. it has promoted redevelopment in the surrounding area because in New York an apartment by a park is a very nice thing. Similar projects are underway in cities around the globe.
For my expert source I emailed Vivian Loftness. she was part of an interview that i read online and she seemed very knowledgeable. She is the head of the School of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University and has received many awards for her teaching and her work. She received he degree from MIT and has served on many national architecture boards. I want to find out more about her work involving health and architecture as well as her general knowledge of SBS.
I really enjoy taking holiday photos because there are endless things to focus on. Out of my three photos my favorite one was the photo with the red Christmas lights. When I had the idea for this photo I imagined having more like 3 lights in focus and all the others in blur other than just one light in focus. I feel the more you mess around with photos, the better they turn out.
In this photo we had to take photos of Fall and the colors changing. I was driving around Holladay and found this great house with these bright red leaves growing up this lamppost. I thought it was really pretty because you got a sense of the changing seasons of summer to fall!
This photo was taken in Park City, Utah going up the lift for the Alpine Slide. I enjoy the way the trees are so tall and it seems to be a never ending forest. The lighting at that time of day (late afternoon) was perfect. This shows the beginning of fall with green leaves still present; however, you get the red and yellow colors too.

Yellow and Green buried into the ground, When I passed by it felt like the flower will never ever stop growing. Standing tall like the Eiffel tower, shinning into sun is the yellow flower. I felt the green petal of the flower, the yellow petals of the flower were shinning like the sun on my eyes. It'll stand tall like the big wall, it'll shine into the sun, will be the Green and Yellow bloom.
Bamboo with green wheat on top, thin and straight like a broom, but yet the age shown are the green brush strokes, and closer yet notches are more visible, from kids or a strong grip no one knows, and the handle instead is yellow right before it is driven under
