Same sex marriage is currently frowned about by several American Countries. The following nine states allow civil unions or domestic partnership: Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, Maine, Delaware, Maryland. Only six states allow same sex marriage: Iowa, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York.
I believe that same sex marriage should be legalized because marriage should be open to anyone, regardless of what sex they are. It's not like a homosexual marriage is an aberration of what marriage is supposed to be, like some people say. Rather than marriage being required to be between two people of the opposite sex, it should be between two people who love each other, regardless of their sex. People should have the right to be happy, and if marrying someone of the same sex does that for them, so be it.
