I have read how beauty is considered differently in this time period and how was considered to be in previous time periods. We can also see through the different fashion styles from different decades and we can see how they changed throughout time.
Pretties is the second book in the uglies. In this book Tally is already a pretty and she loves it. Tally, Shay, and Perris all go to a party. At the party Tally feels as if someone is following her. She does not pay much mind to it for a while before a person appears and gives her a note. The note is addressed to Tally. The letter is from herself preoperative. She sets out to find the smoke to find the cure to being pretty.
I started reading a book titled Extras by Scott Westerfeld. It is part of a series called the Uglies Series. I did not get far enough into the book to fully understand and grasp what it is all about. Another thing that makes understanding what is happening in this book harder is that I did not read the previous books in the series. In result of this, I do not know what the Pretties, Uglies, and the Prettytimes are.
Now to continue my backwards posts about the “Uglies” series, I will end it with the first book: “Uglies”. In this post, I’ll pretty much discuss how good “Uglies” is, and how it really got me into it.
When I started the book, the very first line interested me, it wasn’t really what I expected. “The early summer sky was the color of cat vomit.”
And then it follows that up with this:
