This is a portrait I took of my aunt. I believe this photograph shows her inner age as well as help the viewer understand her. It seems as though she is reminscing of her younger days or at least thinking about something. This is shown by her physical stance: the way her hands are relaxed, her eyes wide open looking up, and her head locked on the sky. She seems very healthy, which allows the viewer to conclude she is probably living a good life with minor struggles. This ties back into the idea of being a kid again (the age where people say struggles do not exist), I feel as though her stance of reminiscing and her young-age-look combine to create her as one who is in love with the younger days and refuses to let them go.
Although it may seem that I directed and arranged her pose, I didn't. This is the ultimate reason as to why I find this photograph naturally successful and beautiful. Simply because it is completely genuine and untouched.
