I think it goes without saying that the most impactive event in the 21st century, at least to the United States, was the terror attacks on September 11. They not only killed many people, injured hundreds and caused infinite pain and grief, but they also caused a completely new age. Now we are on “terror alert” 24/7, always expecting, always watching. It has caused a change in the way we all think, and has caused a lot of prejudice.
