I found a PDF article using Boolean searching on EBSCO. I searched “Crime Scene Investigation” OR Crime Scenes. The PDF I found is a research report with the U.S. Department of Justice label and includes “A Guide to Law Enforcement” on the title page. It looks legitimate, states an author, is a government source, and looks like it is used for educational purposes. It says it is approved and written by the Technical Working Group on Crime Scene Investigation. Because I have an author, it is authorized by the government, and it is published on a website that is reviewed, I believe I have a good source. The only issue I see so far is that it was published in January 2000, so hopefully it is current enough. I plan on searching for more sources, but I’m sure some things stay the same regardless of time.
