We learn something interesting about one on the characters, Piri Thomas on page 103 where it says: " the difference between me and Louie was he was white. 'that cat Mr. christian tell you about calling you when some new territory opens up?' Louie said in a low voice. i nodded, 'yea'. damn! that motherfucker asked me to come and start training jazz on Monday." This is typical of how this character acts in this book, so far Pipi hates the white people, and he also feels confused of who he is.

In "Down These Mean Streets" one of the characters that I feel very interested in is Mr.Christian, he was the guy who Piri tried to get a job from. He one of the white guy who being nice to Piri and his friends.

What is success to me? As a Windsor High School senior with my whole career ahead of me, this is a question I think about every day. But what is even the definition of “success”?

In the article, “ The Seven Laws of Success”, It says that almost 95% of small businesses are headed towards bankruptcy. They say that success can not be bought, but it comes free to us with our application.

Over my winter break, I took a few photos. My brother had gotten me a Macro lens for christmas. This was the gift that i used to get the two photos of my dog. I also took photos of me and one of my friends in the snow. It was a lot of fun taking these photos because we were just messing around, but we ended up loving all of them. We couldn't feel our hands or feet afterward, but it was worth it!

Luckily, I was pretty successful with my searches today. Each of the databases had a plethora of articles for me to choose from. Both the Historical New York Times and Utah Digital Newspapers were extremely helpful, and had a variety of newspaper articles dating all the way back to the 1800s involving albinos. Not only did they talk about how little was known about albinism in those times, but also the perspective society held towards albinos. NewsBank was a bit less informative.
