Secret Service Agent Sean King is haunted by the events that took place on September 26, 1996. He was in charge of watching GOP candidate Clyde Ritter with his life and then there's the "ding"of the elevator. He turns away for a slight moment and his life is changed forever. Ritter is shot down by Arnold Ramsey a professor at atticus College. King then reacts and kills Ramsey. Fast forward eight years and Agent Michelle Maxwell is in the same position. She must guard GOP candidate John Bruno, but instead he's kidnapped.
In my book Split Second I'm up to page 320. So far agents Sean king and Michelle Maxwell along with the help of Joan Dillinger and Jefferson Parks. They are beginning to put the pieces together and somehow are finding connection between the Clyde Ritter case and the John Bruno case. They're beginning to somehow connect these two cases together and are finding more and more about Ritter's killer Arnold Ramsey and are trying to dig out information from his daughter Kate.
So far in my book Split Second by David baldacci I'm up to page 18. So far what's happened is Secret Service agent Sean King in September 1996 is given to job of protecting the life of GOP cnadidate Clyde Ritter only to see him die in cold blood right in front of his eyes. Ritter is shot by a man who continues o point the gun at Ritter's dead body as people run everywhere. King reacts fast and shoots him dead. Everything and everyone is in turmoil. King eventually loses his job and he isn't happy. Fast forward eight years to 2004.
