Left to Tell is the story of Immaculee Ilibagiza's family in Rwanda and the troubles they faced because they were the Tutsi Minority in a Hutu controlled society. The Hutu wanted to exterminate all of the Tutsi in order to gain control and purity in their country. Immaculee had a good life and a loving family, and she worked very hard to get a good education. Despite the hardships of living in an impoverished developing country, Immaculee had a good and peaceful life, that is until the moderate Hutus in control were murdered and the Hutu declared that all of the Tutsi were to be killed.
