This book starts off with one of the three main characters Gecko. Gecko gets sent to prison after a driving accident, which he was involved in. After he goes to prison he is met with a person named Douglas Healy who planned to take three juvies out of prison and let them live for 6 months in a different environment. The three boys: Arjay, Gecko, and Terence are sent to live with Healy in his apartment as like a second chance at life.
