Archetypes are similar literary themes, characteristics, or story elements that appear frequently through different stories. Heroes, wise men, tyrannical rulers, damsels in distress, the hero's weakness, all of these things take different forms in different stories, but they are often depicted with similar characteristics. For example, in "The Hunger Games," Katniss Everdeen is thrown into an arena with other teenagers like her, and all of them have to fight each other. The goal is to remain the last person alive to win the Hunger Games and return to their family victorious.
An hour passed and things were happening, bad things. I was now having ‘attack’ like symptoms. My heart beat would slow down to the point where I would need more than just a oxygen tank. They would put an oxygen mask on me too, because I would black out for a few minutes. I would be able to smell, feel, and hear but I couldn’t move until I got enough oxygen in me. Aunt Maiah came in the room.
The seagulls were flying in the air when they saw the water start to splash violently. Then suddenly, a huge whale burst out of water with a tremendous force. When it was in the air, it came down and smacked the leading seagull out of the air and into the water, where it drowned. The other seagulls were furious, and charged at the beast. They picked him up and threw the whale onto the shore, where they shot him with their laser beam eyes. The whale turned into swiss cheese. The whale flapped his small wings and flew to heaven. He was finally free from the impending wrath of the seagulls.
The story of the animation will be about a group of ghetto kids making fun of a nerds name and telling him to be more ghetto or “cool”. Then they force him to go to a dance. At the dance, it turns out to be an alien appears and takes them to a different place. The nerd then beats up the alien and also the ghetto dudes. They both disappear, and finally he's left alone in space not knowing how to get back down , yet still being able to take in oxygen. Then he realizes he will be stuck for the rest of his life. This will then be how the story ends.
Introduction: This is an animation about three young adults who travel to Planet Omicron because Earth is almost destroyed. They find that it is great for life, but inhabited by the monsters. I created this for Tech class, and I used Scratch to make it. It was really fun but challenging to create a story that moves and talks
(The three people’s shuttle appears from stage left, flying ins space. After a bit, the backdrop changes to inside the shuttle).
Jason- Ok, this is it guys.
Sofie- Yeah, lets get ready
(Puts on equipment)
Jason- Prepare for landing!
This is a project of mine that I created through Scratch as part of a technology project. It’s an animation on how a group of four people manage to survive in Antarctica despite the brutal conditions they face. It all starts when their plane crash lands on Antarctica and are forced to head to the Southern Ocean with their boats and possibly row to their research station that they were heading to. They endure many hardships and eventually reach there.
Act 1 Scene 1:
Setting: Inside the Airplane (from cockpit)
This is a project I created on the website Scratch. It is made for my technology project for tech class. The story is completely made up, and has no connections with anything real. Nonetheless, I chose this idea because I thought that it would be interesting to make into a animation. Though it was stressful, I had a fun time doing this project. Hopefully we'll come back to scratch for other purposes!
Setting- Deli near a school
[Alex enters from stage right into the deli]
Alex- Hey there Phil! What’s up?
[Phil walks out from stage right to counter]
Most people have heard of the "Percy Jackson and The Olympians" series, and maybe even the "Heroes of Olympus" series. Well, if so, then you've obviously heard of Percy Jackson, who found out that Annabeth Chase, the love of his life, was a traitor. Soon after this being found out, she was killed by the gods, and Percy wandered through Olympus. He then meets Artemis, and tells her about his dilemma. After doing so, she teleports him to Camp Half Blood and leaves. Soon after, Percy meets with Zeus to get himself a purpose.
Just One Wish is a short animation about a girl who wishes to be given privacy, and all her friends disappear. A creature appears to grant any other wishes, but the girl soon realizes how lonely she is without her friends. She wishes for her friends back, flaws and all.
[Three people are standing in a field]
Why did you have to tell my parents I wasn’t doing my homework? It’s none of your business!
We’re just trying to help, Celia! We’re a little worried about you!
This is an animation I made on scratch.mit.edu. I had to tell a story with my animation so I chose to do it on the fairytale classic Hansel and Gretel. As you might notice, my animation is a shortened or compressed version of the actual story. I worked on this for a period of two weeks. I am a beginner on Scratch and this animation is one of my first. I felt like making this animation helped me become more comfortable on Scratch.
Setting: Hansel and Gretel in the woods
Hansel: It’s a really nice day today! I’m glad we went on a walk!
(Hansel moves to middle of the stage)
The past month, I was introduced to Scratch, an editing program where you can create your own animations. To create motion and use dialogue in terms of speech bubbles, there are a variety of "blocks" that you can choose from to drag for a Sprite (a character) to make them move, or animate. Scratch, for beginners like myself is quite difficult– it almost feels impossible to use. Once you get the hang of it, it's like riding a bike. The more you practice with Scratch, the better your animation gets.
This is my school project, which is a scratch
animation. It is about Robin Hood and a few of his friends who are magical
creatures going on an adventure into the wilderness. However, they find out
that the wizard is coming to take the castle from King Nano and rule, so Robin
Hood and his friends Gobo and Pico go on to take a turn from going to hunt to
stopping the wizard from taking over the castle. They will face obstacles on
the way, and a happy ending is not ensured! Hope you enjoy!
This scratch project is about a spider who learns new things. He was being bullied by his friends and family because he did not know to spin a web. As a result, Sam the Spider left home in search of a better place. He found a bedroom of a girl named Lily, who helped him learn about the web, but not a spider web, she taught him about the internet. In hopes of impressing his bullies, Sam steals Lily's computer, and shows it off. His bullies are impressed. Sam dies.

Cat Guy- Cat
Session 1: Wednesday 3/11/15(school)
I finished what I thought I would have. I had thought though that it would be much easier to import characters but it took me more time. BUt, I had finished the first parts quicker.
Session 2: Wednesday 3/11;15(home)
I was way undertime and I took too much time to import the character and clear the white space around it due to some computer problems. At the end I finally managed to get in Pigman’s line and is leave.
Session 3: Friday 3/13/15(school)
My parents, little brother, and I barely get ill so it's kind of hard to determine what we believe in. My dad has a high blood problem but he takes lots of medication everyday for that. With serious illnesses, such as my dad having a high blood pressure, we believe that taking medication prescribed from the doctor works. But when it comes to small illnesses such as a stomachache, my dad believes that a certain oil that had been blessed by the priest from the Philippines, helps cure it.

“An ordinary small-town girl, raised in the Colorado Rockies, Jenny is an avid outdoors woman. She was just 3 years old when her parents took her on her first high mountain hike (10 miles round trip). Although she may have been coaxed up the trail with Reeses Pieces, Jenny walked every step of the way.”
Cinderella never had the best experiences, from a young age her mother died and her father remarried. Her stepmother and two stepsisters were not the most pleasant people, but at least she had her father. Unfortunately later on, her father died as well leaving her under the care of her evil stepmother and stepsisters.
Hello I’m a student A NEW Directions Secondary School in the bronx which is a middle school/high school.
My name Is Vontay Farmer and two of the things I love to do the most is to act and to explore life. Me acting is a part of dreaming of my goals, my future, etc but one thing I have to say about myself is that My Dreams Are Always Stories Untold. Meaning that I will never reveal my dreams to anyone beside my self , because my dreams tell a lot and no one can find the joys of my dreams and no one could come between my dreams.
I thought it was interesting, talking about this story named “Snow” because the Russian missile was underground, and Yolanda and Sister Zoe were afraid. Also it's interesting because I never heard of it either.
"Snow" by Julia Alvarez might leave a reader feeling sad because they heard that there was a Russian Missile underground. I felt right after reading the story that life was incredible and crazy back in those days. An Example of this is: “The Russians were assembling missiles, headed for New York City.”
The young lady was pregnant, she was eight months, almost due when a tragedy happened on the day of Halloween. Her baby was eating her alive.
Her husband worriedly took her to the Emergency Room, she was in so much pain and didn't know what was going on. The doctors instantly knew they had to pick between one or the other. They asked the husband who would he want to save. Madly he responded with both!
My name is Grace Elizabeth. In American-English it means love, beauty, and fluid in movement. In Ireland it means loved girl and gift from God. There are some days I like my name, but most days I despise it. Having such a common name means that you are often defined by the first letter of your last name or even your middle name. Anytime someone calls my name I turn around and half the time they aren't even talking to me, causing me embarrassment. I honestly prefer to be called Gracie, just because it is less common than ‘Grace’.
I was named by grandfather, which I thought was weird at first because my mom didn't get to name any of her own children. She wanted to name me Layla but my grandfather insisted. Hawraa means eyes that have a contrast between black and white. It’s an Arabic name, and was mentioned in the Quran, the holy book of Islam.I honestly it’s weird that I was named after some kind of eyes. When I think of my name, I think of doe eyes. Or eyes that have such a big contrast between black and white, that they look like holes from a horror movie. I've only met one other person with the same.
My full name is Jacob James Gutting. My name means many things. The one I was named after was the Jacob from the bible. He was born holding onto his brother’s heel, that’s why Jacob means “Holder of the heel”. Later in life, he was broken by God and he walked with a limp for the rest of his life. He learned to let God control his life. My middle name, James, is the middle name of both my grandfathers and my dad. It has been passed through our family and is special to us. My last name, Gutting, comes from Germany. My parents chose my name because it was very popular back in 2000.
