I'm reading Sean C. Duncan's essay, “Minecraft, Beyond Construction and Survival” from https://via.hypothes.is/http://press.etc.cmu.edu/files/WellPlayed-v1n1-1..., My question is: Is Minecraft a good tool in school, when they know it's distraction in school? I think no, that is not a distraction because you can release your imagination in Minecraft, like for an example when you are building a house in Minecraft you do not know what do and if you use your imagination, then you can do anything.
Parents do not create our identity. Sure, they have an influence on who we’re in the process of becoming, but they do not create the qualities, beliefs or distinguished rare traits that we posses. Our identity is found in Christ. 1 John 3:1-2 says this,
Hi! My name is Laura Moon and I have been working on an animation in my technology class. I had to create a story based on a book, no longer copyrighted, or I had to make one up with my mind. Since I love the Harry Potter series, by J.K. Rowling, I decided to create a modified version of her novel. This project took me 4 hours and 25 minutes but I did not do this all at once. I made an action plan and followed this plan along with a schedule so I didn't have to do the whole animation all at once. It was hard creating it at first but after I got the hang of it, it became pretty easy.
Hold me down through it all (1)
For if you let me go
I might slip and fall
Don't want to go back to how I use to be
Hold me down through it all (5)
For when I feel you my emotions run wild
into the jungle to be free
Help me keep my sanity
For this DIY project, we were to find a creative craft using photos. I made it for my friend Abby, and she loved it! I found this idea on pinterest, then went to Michael's to gather the materials. I used a wooden A, mod podge, mod podge paper, and some cut out photos. I first covered the A with mod podge, then added the mod podge paper, but didn't put mod podge on the top. I then cut my photos to fit the A somewhat, put them where I wanted, then used the pod modge as glue. Finally, I brushed mod podge over the whole entire thing, and let it dry for a day.
Although this was not one of my best years academically (yikes!), I still had a pretty good school year. I slacked off a bit on the last semester but hey, that is what the smell of summer does to me. This year as a student, I felt I could have done way better. Although I went through many adversities and quandaries in this past year, I feel like I shouldn’t had let myself allow the toll my grade took due to those things. What was extremely valuable in my courses was the amount of learning that took place. I think it is a privilege to say that everyday I learned something new.
I created my avatar with two websites. One of them was www.tektek.org and the other was called www.ipiccy.net. Tektek.org was the site that I actually created my avatar on while ipiccy is just a photo editor. Some of the requirements and constraints could not be met with just tektek.org so I used the photo editor to change the avatar so that I actually met all of the requirements and constraints. The border around the avatar with the ornaments represents how my family and I have a party on Christmas although we are not Christian.
This is my Avatar. I have been working hard to complete this for my Technology assignment. In my Avatar I made sure I showed my personality and things that represent me. My Avatar was originally a sketch that I drew but i turned it into an animated one on an Avatar Creator website. Then I used a photo editor to add multiple photos to my original picture in order to show my personality. I used the best photos I could use that could best describe my personality while making sure it was not copyrighted. I hope you enjoy my avatar.
This is the avatar that I made. It includes the flag of China, which represents my culture. The character in the avatar represents and looks like me, and is saying "I love K-Pop!" The letters "BSGE" in the bottom right corner are the initials of the school that I attend. "BSGE" is written in white and blue because those are my school's colors.
When creating my animation I thought that my idea of using Winnie the Pooh and Piglet was creative and interesting. I thought that I didn't really have any difficulties other than taking my characters from the internet and then covering all the parts other than the character itself. I think that I did well with making the conversation between the two sprites a story that was well presented. I also think that the grade I deserve for the visual part of the assignment would be a level four, because I did include three hand drawn scenes (background).
