Some key points about the culture in our world is the technology that is involved in many different things such as in school, shopping, eating, building, etc. Technology has impacted the world because even the little things like reading an ordinary paper book, has evolved into audio or tablet books. When this happens, I think about how it saves many trees but it costs people more money to purchase the piece of technology. Our culture is now revolved around the internet and making tasks seem quicker, easier, and less labor intensive to do.
Our technology has come a long way since the ancient games in Greece. The first example of how technology has changed is TV broadcasting. The first Olympics to be shown on television were the Berlin games in 1936. The 1948 London Olympics marked the establishment of a broadcast rights fee. BBC offered to pay $3,000 dollars, but it was rejected. The BBC's live coverage totaled about 64 hours and was limited to a 50-mile radius in London, reaching about 500,000 viewers.
