I started photography because I loved working with cameras, but now that I have gotten older and matured I realize that photography is more than that. It is a form of expression and I can capture the things I see. When I chose a theme for my photography this year, I chose New York City because it was something familiar that I have been around. Although I have captured many different themes of New York City I would still like to capture more. I want to take pictures of the classic view of New York City; the lights, tall buildings, and busy streets. However I want to open people's eyes to they simple things like the nature, parks, and peaceful less hectic places. I think that is what I have achieved in this collage, both of those sides of New York City. When I started this piece I wasn't sure how to start. I started by taking two pictures that I liked and then put them together. I chose what tools to use after I knew what I wanted to do. Once I knew what I wanted, I chose the tool that would best help me to accomplish what I wanted to do.
