When the new superintendent takes office in Oakland Unified, the issue at Fremont high school that he or she needs to tackle is getting more kids to go to class instead of cutting. This is an important issue because if there isn't a lot of students in class, teachers will not get paid as much if they have a full class.
Something that I have been interest in learning more about has been the Divorce. I remember when My aunt divorced her husband for many reasons. Maybe because he was not being honest to her, he did not treat her well, and money problems. But I did not learn more at that time because that was not of my business, and that was their issue. Lately , the issue has caught my eye again.
We are very happy to be her representing South Korea. We would like to greet the General Assembly of the United Nations. It’s a pleasure to see all of you, eminent and distinguished delegates.
This is the last book I had left to read by John Green and I am glad I saved it for last because I love it, has to be my favorite from him. It's old, released in 2005, but its something that can be read through the years and still be great and different from other "growing up" books. Miles Halter lived in Florida with his parents and decided to go a boarding school in Alabama. Soon after arriving at Culver Creek, Miles meets his roommate, Chip "The Colonel" Martin. The Colonel soon provides Miles with his very own nickname: "Pudge," supposedly because Miles is tall and slender.
I don't think texting is too bad, it's a lot quicker to communicate than calling or emailing. But some people text way too much and when they text and drive that's when there is a big problem. But other than texting and driving, texting is perfectly fine. Texting is a very amazing thing, being able to send a message any where in the world in a mater of seconds.
Hello world. My name is Ruth and I will be talking about Hurricane Sandy and how it affected my family, friends and me. First off, I’m the type of person who hardly EVER watches TV. So when the Hurricane hit New Jersey, I was a little nervous and shocked.
Before it struck, the reason why I went to New Jersey is because my cousin, Raymond from D.R. came to live and start a new life in New York, and I wanted to visit him after not seeing him for over nine years. Not to mention, I also went there because my cousin does music and produces, so I wanted him to mix a track for me.
Blog Post: What goes on in dysfunctional families? I ask this question because I wonder why things are so bad in dysfunctional families, families that neglect or abuse children and have so many conflicts and misbehaviors. A dysfunctional family could be caused by mental illnesses, problems, and addictions one or both of the parents have. Their problems resulted from other dysfunctional parents, being co-dependent adults, substance abuse, and alcoholism. Dysfunctional parents would be unforgiving and also ignorant to their children's needs and wants, lacking communication.
I have come to point of realization where I wonder why it is that many teens believe they are ready to move on their own. From my perspective I believe it’s because of problems going on at home or because they are actually ready to be independent. There are many reasons out there for teens my age or older to leave and probably others that aren’t yet ready to move out. I want to research more in depth about the reasons to why they leave and if they are really ready for the world out here. Also I wonder and really want to know why is it that many of those who leave come back home?
Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been friendship. I remember talking about with my friends in the lunchroom, but at the time I did not want to know more about it. Lately, the issue has caught my eye again. I know that people may feel that having a friend is good because you someone that understands you. From what I have heard, many people have different opinion about friendship,it depends what had happen to then.
One of the issues that Zora Neal Hurston speaks to at the beginning of Their Eyes Were Watching God is: Do men and women dream differently? Excluding the physical parts of men and women, there are more women who are emotionally fragile compared to men. Overall there is nothing different from women and men. Both are human beings, and both can be fragile to certain things.
Zora Neale Hurston has a different view. She thinks that men dream more then women, and both men's and women’s dreams are completely different.
