These photos are Christmas holiday pictures. I took the first photo at night without room lights, so bulbs could appear more impressive and beautiful. It was hard to take photo because there has no enough lights, so focusing was too sensitive. The second photo includes a candy and ball on the tree. Also the ball reflected me like a mirror, and the candy made the ball more interesting. It was pretty hard to take the third photo too because children moved really fast and they were too much excited and the snowman's doll was shaking so fast.
Christmas is my favorite holiday so it's always fun to put up all the decorations. I love the decorations in my house because they give off a very whimsical feeling and it seems magical. I wanted to capture just that in these photos and I feel like I succeeded at doing so.
I really enjoy taking holiday photos because there are endless things to focus on. Out of my three photos my favorite one was the photo with the red Christmas lights. When I had the idea for this photo I imagined having more like 3 lights in focus and all the others in blur other than just one light in focus. I feel the more you mess around with photos, the better they turn out.
In this picture, we had to shoot things using some sort of lighting. I decided to use candle light, since someone in my family always had candles lit during the Christmas season. When I first started to take the pictures of the three candles, I had them lined up in a straight line, but I wasn't able to get a close up view of the candles. So then I clustered the candles together and made sure each flicker was noticeable. The Boca that is in the picture is from a reflection in the window.
For this photo I wanted to take it early in the morning so that the light levels of the lights and sky sort of balanced out. That way neither light source overshadows the other. The light turned out well in this photo, and I even caught a little bit of the sunrise in the bottom left corner, with the light pink sky. I also wanted to take the photo from an interesting perspective, so I angled the camera up at the lamp post.
On October 28, 2012, news channels were overcome with the media talking all about the upcoming hurricane that was barreling towards the East Coast. After a weekend full of celebrations for the religious holiday Eid, I heard about it. My sister was really scared about it and urged my parents to go out and buy dry food because of the upcoming events that were to arrive later on in the day. My brothers and parents were constantly watching the news and I was actually excited for it. Throughout the whole week, I was constantly reading at home because there wasn't much to do.
As you may know, Valentines was just last Tuesday. It is a time for loved ones to go out as a couple and enjoy each others presence, But is Valentines really much of a holiday? I mean what If you don't have a special someone, what then? its probably quite a pointless holiday to these people. And its not like we get school and work off for this special day, we continue a normal everyday schedule.
What does the holiday mean to me ? To me it means getting presents. I never really get into the holiday spirit as I don't really have an interest in it. It does get me excited however, but this is only because as I said before presents and the fact that we usually get no school on those days. It gives extra time (Free time) for me and I like it as in my opinion the weekends isn't enough.

You should then put the seasoning along with the garlic, oregano and salt and pepper onto it. Then chop it up to little pieces in the pan.
With the holidays coming up in just a few weeks one of the topics on everyone's minds and the top of all of our to do lists is: what do I buy for my loved ones?
As a high school senior I have the ability to drive which makes it more difficult because you are stuck doing the shopping on your own. You no longer have your parents to help pick out gifts for you siblings and other parent. It is so hard to buy for mom and dad, not to mention your little brother.
Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. I enjoy the calm feeling that I get every time I see a Christmas tree and the lighting in every house. To me, Christmas has always been a holiday of togetherness and a symbol of peace as well as love. The perfect Christmas would be one, where there would be plenty of snow. I think the weather is a factor that also brings the Christmas spirit to live. Traditions, lights, the joy of gifts, spending time with family, food, and music; all work together to make this special holiday full of spirit. Christmas is the best holiday of the year, that harvests peace, life, and love amongst family and sometimes even strangers.
The main character in The Curious Incident of the dog in the night-time, Christopher is right now in a series of living in a new place and he is tying to a
I chose this picture to portray "The Essence of Holiday Spirit," because when I think of holiday spirit I see christmas trees, decorative lights, ornaments, and other objects depicting the Holidays. I think this is a good photo because instead of taking a picture of just a christmas tree, I decided to get close to the tree and add a little persepective.
There are many songs around the holiday season. Some are held to be religious while others are just fun for the traditional carolers to sing. One popular song is "The 12 Days of Christmas". From research it is thought to have been sung since the mid to late 1500s. There are two main theories on the origin of it, though. One is that it is from Fr
I work in the retail industry, and the holidays are always a busy time of the year. Everyone knows that the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas are the two busiest days of the year for shoppers. It can actually be dangerous to go out shopping. People stand in lines as earlier as midnight-or sometimes earlier-just to get the best deals on the best gifts.
Well Thanksgiving is the time of the year were me and my brother just relax and watch TV. Sure, we do get the family together for a big dinner, but this year is going to be different from what i was told. This year everyone is a little stressed out more than usual, but were are going to have a small dinner.
With the holiday's coming up, and our current decline in economic stature, this whole recession thing makes me wonder how it is going to affect the surge of holiday spending. Many people predict that there will be a slow down of spending and retail stores are going to suffer in a major way. When the people of our nation have no money, why would they go spend it on frivolous gifts?
