Peer Pressure Influences Teenage Sexual Behavior
By Eric Shih
Peer pressure, which is when a friend or someone else influences or exerts change over a person's behavior, can cause teenagers to want to have sex when they are not really ready for it. Teens who get influenced by their peers wind up having premature sex. But this kind of problem can be dealt with if teens stand up for themselves, stick to what they believe is right, and seek help from parents.
In J.Burnett's essay, “Should Teens Work Part-Time Jobs?” from Helium.com the author debates on if teens should work part time jobs and how it would affect them. When we conside the issue of part-time employment for teens some might wonder should teens have part-time Jobs and what are the effects of them?. J.Burnett addresses this question with his ideas about this topic. He feels teens should have jobs, and he explains the advantages of having one. Here is some of his ideas about the topic.
Abortion is a problem that really in most people’s opinion, is okay but it depends. Whether if they were raped or they made a stupid mistake and that they have a ‘life’ and can’t worry about a baby. In my opinion it shouldn’t depend on anything. Abortion is killing another being. They may not be breathing like us or eating or walking or talking like us but they are still people (Little people). They are just like the people in coma states, but does that give us the right to ‘pull the plug’ on them? No, they should be treated as equals even though they don’t live as you do (yet).
After doing some research on peer pressure with my friends, I learned some really good information about it. Peer pressure is when someone does something that another person influences them into doing. It can make people lose good judgment and do bad things just to "fit in" with a certain group, like bullies and criminals. However, peer pressure can sometimes be a good thing, such as reforming a mean kid's behavior with psychological counseling.
I remember when I was a kid, I would sit there, watching the television. You would lots of cartoons. I remember they would have this one cartoon that used to stop and then cut a preview of that cartoon, only it would tell you to go and watch that show later. I would be in the middle of Animaniacs and then it would cut to Tom and Jerry, tell when and where, then back to Animaniacs. It was annoying. But I do have to say, it looked interesting. Violence is funny. Violence I always funny. Never gruesome. Only suggested. Imagined. Unlike how it is today. I miss those days though.

In a summary of the article "Cloud and data fourth-quarter 2012 analysis," it said that there was a rise of cloud-based databases in the last quarter of 2012. Private clouds is largely focused by the enterprise, but interests in public cloud computing became greater than what was expected by analysts. This seems to appeal to those using cloud computing and do a lot of stuff on the Internet. My review to it is the fact there seems to be different ways of how people use the Internet and what the companies do in the business of cloud software.

Editorial: improve semi-automatic ban Quinn Schurig English III Jan. 16, 2013 gun control with the USA Today editorial board In Usa Today's editorial "Improve semi-automatic ban" the article talks about how the goverment's previous gun restriction pla n had too many loopholes in it. The "slant" of the article is leaning toward advocating the gun ban or at least restrictiions of guns.
In Lou Kirchen opinion piece, "Bullying", from FOX6 WBRC-TV, the author writes a summary about bullying in which he explains that the bullies should be detected since they are little because if not they would become abusive adults. The victims should tell their parents before it gets worse. Lou talks more about prevention.
Yes! we are too dependent on computers to get us through life.
We use it to find our relationship or to make friends, start fights, look for the current information to make alliances, committees, social groups to find information, to give information, to build, destroy, educate, the list keeps getting wider as the ages pass, we rely too much on technology.
When the power went out during Hurricane Sandy everyone panicked, lost in confusion and in need of electricity. According to www.liutilities.com This only showed how dependent we really are.
I don't think texting is too bad, it's a lot quicker to communicate than calling or emailing. But some people text way too much and when they text and drive that's when there is a big problem. But other than texting and driving, texting is perfectly fine. Texting is a very amazing thing, being able to send a message any where in the world in a mater of seconds.
I think Mitch Albom is right. http://personal.crocodoc.com/ApaB0SM Actually communicating verbally is a thing of the past now and it shouldn't be. Talking to people over the phone to me is much more useful. In the time it takes to write one message you could be done with the conversation. But there is a good side to texting. If you only need to say yes or no to something then texting is the way to go.
Whoever wrote this http://personal.crocodoc.com/ApaB0SM has the wrong idea. Texting is a good thing, it helps kids learn how to multi task. For example, a kid could be doing his doing his homework at the same time. Why is that a bad thing? Also, it saves a lot of time. For example, let's say you have to send to send in your report to your boss, and then you call him but the line is busy. In that case you're pretty much done. But if you text him or send it over to him using your cellphone, things work out much better for everyone.
I must disagree with the author of this article: http://personal.crocodoc.com/ApaB0SM Texting HAS brought people together in fact. With texting, you can easily ask your friends a question. Over the past couple years, texting (instant messaging) has gradually become more and more popular. Inventions such as the Iphone, Galaxy S, and the Blackberry have all made the lives of people easier. With a couple seconds of effort, you can ask someone " What time should you pick me up", or " How long can I stay?" Compared to if you were to call someone, the call would take longer.
Texting is the most common means of communication today. I certainly think that texting is a good thing, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have any bad qualities. I text everyday of my life, and i enjoy it. Texting has given us a way to talk to people no matter where they are.
Texting is the main way kids in today's community communicate. not only because its easier but you can say things in texts that you probably wouldn't be able to say to someones face. Because of this advantage most kids find it easier to text which is one reason its the most common for people.
The 21st-century is the technology era. You constantly see kids, many not even out of grade school, on their phones. I got my first cell phone in fifth grade. My grandmother got her first cell phone a year later. I have only called my friends a handful of time to communicate, but I talk to them everyday via text message. I personally think that texting is a good way to communicate. People can talk quickly, it can strengthen relationships, and it won't make much sound.
Texting is a good thing. I think this because, it is a modern day form of communication. I send around 100 to a 150 text messages a day. I still call people too.
One of my grandmas text me but when my other grandma need to talk to me she calls me. My grandma who texts me is very slow, but when she got the iPhone she is a little faster now. Both of my grandpas refuse to text. They say it is a waste of time and that it is better to call.
I have to say that I don't really agree with the author's opinion on texting. Texting is not taking away our abilities of communication. It is simply a faster way of communicating. http://personal.crocodoc.com/ApaB0SM
People are quick to blame texting for stopping face to face communication, but texting is actually keeping us connected with our friends and family more than ever.
I disagree with this article. http://personal.crocodoc.com/ApaB0SM I mean I am not saying I am a big fan of texting itself but I do like how you can communicate with people even though they are miles away form you.
Texting is the fastest way to communicate to people. Years ago when texting wasn't that great and popular, people used to email.
Email I think is horrible. I mean you have to wait for the other persons email. Some email website things you would have to refresh the page to see if you got a new email.
I agree with how you said a generation losing a voice in communications. When you text someone and ask them something, you never really know what they are really saying. If you are on the phone with them, they answer right away, and you can hear their voice and hear how they feel.
When I read this article about texting http://personal.crocodoc.com/ApaB0SMit reminded me of the first text message I had sent to one of my friends. I was about twelve years old and had received my phone earlier that year.
I mean I really agree with this, that its great to hear someones voice, http://personal.crocodoc.com/ApaB0SM but texting is a faster way of communication, and its so much easier. With me and my parents I see them a lot and talk to them a lot, so I really think its not needed to talk to someone if you can just text them.
Also my parents are into Twitter and Facebook, so they know a lot about texting to begin with unlike in this article where the mom had no idea how to text.
I don't agree with the author of this article http://personal.crocodoc.com/ApaB0SM . Just because we're texting it doesn't mean we don't talk to other people. For some people texting is a lot easier. For example, what if you're at your cousins house and it's really loud and your friend calls you. You won't hear anything they say. But, if you get a text from you're friend you're able to communicate without having to worry about the noise.
Texting can be a very bad thing. Like when people are at the movies and all you here is the tap of the keys on the phones keyboard. Texting can also be a good thing. You can communicate with people all over the world. Unlike calling, you can text multiple people at once. Texting is a good and bad thing because it can be very annoying but can also be very helpful.
