When I mention the most beautiful place in the world what is the first place you think of? Paris.? Italy? What about great barrier reef in australia.
I believe that beauty depends on the eye of the beholder. Personally I think that anywhere with water cascading down a slope or ice hanging off of a cliff is the most beautiful places. Other people I know like deserts and stars but I truly love aquatics. This is weird because from age 1 to 7 ive been horrified by boats! All this changed once I saw the most beautiful cascade of water I've ever seen, Niagra Falls.
For a long time the Decemberists have been my favorite band, mixing a lavish alternative style with beautifully drawn album art, their music is rewarding to listen to and fun to learn. And when I learned that the lead singer, Colin Meloy, had written a fantasy novel for young adults I was overjoyed. The I found out that Meloy's wife and long-time collaborator Carson Ellis had drawn all of the elaborate pen and watercolor illustrations, I had to have the book. I had to have it.
