I love this website, and a small handful of people do too. As a new comer to the website, I began pouring economic and social beliefs into this society as a purpose to make a change. Although this change will not be big, it will mean something to the young and fresh minds reading this on their phones and laptops. I always have been convinced by my teacher's actions that it was basically a site to post assignments and projects. And as far as I am disappointed, this site is nothing but that.
The American Dream is a dream where people believed they could achieve their dreams is important because it meant working hard till you achieve your goal. America dream is like road that is not easy to drive. “The road to success is not easy to navigate but with hard work, drive and passion, it’s possible to achieve the American dream.” This quote is important because it meant that though life was hard with passion and determination you can get through the road, and to the American dream. Show its importance because it is the dream that made people persevere all these years.
Ben McBain, the protagonist in Game Changers, has a few traits that influence his relationships with others.
One, he is short . Two, he is determined. Three, he is Athletic.
These traits influence his relationships with others. “You dont suck that was only one down.”
Later, on page 200, Shawn O'Brien interacts with Ben McBain, basically cheering him. “Man i owe you one I scored a touchdown” Ben’s response here deepens a reader’s sense of his Athletc, and sparks a feeling of love.
During the beginning of senior year we were asked to come up with a question that had conjured our mind. At first may question was whether or not the quote "if you believe you can, you're halfway there." However now I realize its more of wether or not one has the determination to go on, whether or not one has the confidence and bravery to keep going, no matter how many times they fall down.
In the Book of Exodus, there are a few important characters. There is Moses, the LORD, Aaron, the Pharaoh, the Egyptians, and the Israelites. Moses was put in a basket and placed in the river as a baby by his mother, in an effort to save him. He later made contact with the LORD, and soon began to follow the orders of the LORD. The LORD guided Moses in the struggle against the Egyptians while trying to gain freedom for his fellow Israelites. Aaron was Moses’ brother, and helped him with all the orders that he had to follow to free the Hebrews.
Before I started to read Gil Marsh by A.C.E Bauer, I was wondering how close this book’s storyline would be to the storyline of the epic of Gilgamesh. I was also wondering how some of the events from the ancient epic would be modernized. As I have read the book, I have been interested as so how the author has done this. I have enjoyed this version more the the original- possible because it is modern, and I can relate to it more, or maybe I like the writing more or, what happens is something that could happen in real life, which makes it more interesting.
Thirty year old American singer, songwriter, dancer and actress known as “Sasha Fierce” is widely recognized as one of the most powerful and influential musicians in the world. Beyonce Knowles has recently taken some time off to do some “self-exploration” as she says right before releasing her newest album called 4.
Favorite Question - What will I discover of myself?
This question is of interest to me because I am very curious of the type of person I will be when I am older. I am interested in what will make me happy, successful, and determined. I am also very interested in how I will change and develop into an adult. I am curious about self-exploration and how the future will pan out for me.
I believe in hard work. You will never accomplish anything without working hard toward your goals. Taking the easy way out might seem like the right thing to do at the time, but in the long run, hard work pays off.
My whole movie is about running and how it teaches you to be a more determined, better developed, responsible person. The physical and mental games you have to push through when competing in extreme distance races can help you get through anything in your life no matter the situation. I included an interview of a well-known runner named Anton Krupicka. He has run several 100 mile races and ultra-marathon races. He speaks very highly of using running as an example for life. Pushing your hardest, not giving up when it gets tough and knowing you can do anything if you put your mind to it.
Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage.” This quote basically means that there would be times in life where people would try to bring you down, but if you pursue your dreams anything is possible. You don’t have to worry about what others have to say because at the end of the day your decisions can change your life.
Maria Robinson once said: “Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” To me this quote means that no matter how you started; whether you had a good start or a bad one you can't go back and change it, but you can pull yourself together and finish out strong. I am guilty of this myself; all of my beginnings have gone wrong in one way or another, but this quote is helping me understand that wishing the past was better is never the answer, it’s just a waste of time.
What’s my goal for this school Year? For this school year, my goals to accomplish, will be to pass all my quiz and test. Do all my homework and always stay focus in class and don’t get distracted by other students. I believe in myself that I will pass all my classes.
So far since I started school, I've been doing well, coming to class on time, passing my test and I handed in every assignment and homework. I’m planning on getting all my work done, because I passed all my regents and hopefully I can graduate by March, and start college in October.
