I believe that Margaret Rose Nolan partially achieved the ‘American Dream’ in Ashes of Roses by Mary Jane Auch. I believe this because it is evident in three major parts of the novel. Although she achieves many things, it comes to an end when tragedy strikes in the book. When she experiences freedom on being independent, is eligible to get a job to provide for her younger sister Maureen, and when she assimilates by making close friends who help her. Margaret Rose truly matures thought out the book and achieves the ‘American Dream’ half way.

In Brent Staples' opinion piece, "Why the United States Should Look to Japan for Better Schools" from "The New York Times" explains the decrease in education in America through out time with government and economy, and why the U.S should look to Japan in envy of the amazing Education system. Japan is the MOST technologically advanced country in the world with the best education system. The United States has not taken into account how teachers are trained and how they teach, effecting the children all throughout America. Japan trains their teachers like doctors and lawyers.

It’s your life; you want to live it your way, don’t you? So do women all around the world, they should all have the right to make their choices on abortion. Nobody does abortion for the fun of it, and sometimes abortion can save lives. Many people are against abortion because it’s killing a baby, but what about the mom? She’s a person too, and she has rights. Abortion is a personal decision, and everyone has to have an option if they want it or not.

Have you ever told a lie and felt guilty about it? Have you ever told the truth or have done something that shows truthfulness? Telling the truth takes courage, but it is worth saying. Not being able to tell the truth can cause anxiety and usually makes the person feel horrible. I experienced this when I told my parents something that took a lot of courage, but I managed to tell them anyway. As some people say, “honesty is the best policy”. I told the truth ever since I was a little girl and I always felt as if honesty follows me everywhere.

In my AP English course at my school we read 1984 by George Orwell. Following this book we were assigned to pick a topic question and write a paper discussing how it is seen in 1984 and in society. YouTube is growing everyday, and currently has 24 hours worth of video uploaded every minute. It plays a big part in social media and fits right along side Facebook and Twitter, creating a powerful community. Though it is hard not to find it frightening that there are so many people watching, subscribing, and easily sharing the videos of the most viewed on YouTube. I can rarely check my Facebook news feed without seeing a link to a YouTube video. The site brings simplicity to the online video market and has a big impact in the media world. Soon more things about the site will change, and that tempting yellow subscribe button will be forgotten, but YouTube plans on growing exponentially, reaching new people, through every media platform.

Over the past few weeks, I've been writing about a garden that is located within Kissena Corridor Park. The plot i chose is toward the back of the whole thing. There doesn't seem to be many people back there, it seems to be almost deserted like people gave up on it.

I think there is a lot of philosophy residing within the garden. A lot of deep thought that I could discuss here. As I was saying, my plot is very empty. I think the reason for that is that everybody can't be everywhere at the same time. You see, we seem to be needed in different places at every point in our life and it is impossible for everybody to take up all the space.

Let's take me for example. There are walls, one on each side of me and I can only go forward. There is only one narrow path that I can follow because the walls are so closed in that I can only move forward. This means that I don't have access to the rest of the earth or the rest of the space until my path leads me in to that unknown space. My plot is a symbol of space that has been used and that person has moved on.

Ayiti vs Solitaire

      Well Solitaire is a very basic game. I'm really addicted to it and I play it once everyday. The thing is I usually play in the morning on the train because the game is on my ipod. I get really addicted to it that sometimes I play for 30 minutes straight without realizing it. It's really easy and I win all the time. Once in a while, my brother and I  play against each other to see who gets a higher score. It's 50-50 since sometimes I win and sometimes he does. 
     Well Ayiti is a game where you try to make a family survive for a year; 3 kids and two parents. When I played the game it was slightly annoying for the fact that one of the kids were pretty useless unless he was volunteering. I always bought home remedies and books for them. The home remedies helped with them going to the hospital less and the books helped with their education. I ended up with 5 diplomas in the end and a lot of goud. I sucked at first since I just did everything without a strategy, but now that I do its really fun.

Not all games are the same. Some are board games, action games, sport games, card games, strategy games played for enjoyment, or even as a competition. Others seem to be designed to addict gamers so that they would buy other games that are produced by the same game maker. Some games are played simply for no purpose besides something to waste time. Whatever game it is, the goals are always the same: Everyone wants to have and enjoy maybe even in a competitive way. That is probably the main reason many others including myself play games. I want to have fun and enjoy so that I could take things of my mind such as stress from school or maybe even family affairs. 

There is nothing in the way of my writing except maybe a bit of rambling from some of the other kids but that is normal. I can write a well thought out essay today. I have a bit of an issue that I am currently dealing with but that is not an impediment.

I know that i still Have A lot to write about regarding my topic and I am still trying to find some more answers cause my topic is collosal. I am trying to figure out where the human begins mentally and where he or she ends. We call ourselves human but.....what is the actual universal definition? This ties into existentialism as well as all other types of human philosophy.
