Book Review: The Maze Runner by James Dashner
In the Maze Runner, a boy named Thomas wakes up and finds himself in a place called the Glade. Thomas doesn’t remember much about his past. The only thing that he knows is his first name. He is then greeted by a bunch of other boys around his age. He learns that the Glade wasn’t a safe place. Outside of the walls that protected them each night was a maze were vicious, dangerous monsters called Grievers roamed around. They stung Gladers (the boys living in the Glade), which would cause them to go through a painful process called the Changing. During the Changing, bits of the person’s past would slowly come back to him, but some memories were too dreadful for them to handle. He then learns that the Maze changes its formation each day, and for the past two years, some of the Gladers would run around the Maze each day, trying to find the way out. However, they haven’t been able to reach much success.
