When Jeremy Roenick was drafted in the 1989-90 Draft, no one realized the effect that he would have on the hockey world 20 years later. Jeremy will forever be remembered as a great ambassador of the game and a true representative of the game of hockey. Roenick who ranks third all-time among American-born players in points was always a fan favorite who wasn't against signing autographs during warm-ups for adoring fans. Roenick is almost a shoe-in for an induction into the hockey hall of fame.
Jeremy Roenick contributed more than a dozen other superstars did to the game. While playing twenty NHL seasons for the Chicago Blackhawks, Philadelphia Flyers, LA Kings, Phoenix Coyotes and San Jose Sharks. While Roenick does not have tons of NHL all-star honors, or loads of scoring titles, or individual awards, he had a passion for the game that was unrivalled. Roenick was most memorable for his,
"outspoken nature and willingness to throw down verbally on the game's establishment."
