Women's rights have been a hotly contested and debated issue throughout almost all of history. Traditionally, the woman was the homemaker, supportive wife, and mother. These limits remained in place, until women like Mary Wallstonecraft published the earth-shattering book, "Vindication of the Rights of Women" in 1792- the first mention of women's rights in history. As time went on, women challenged these views, and fighting for suffrage and equal voting rights and achieving this in the 20s then the Supreme Court case, Roe v. Wade, legalizing abortions in America.
