This is surprisingly a good book. It conveys the innocence of the a girl finding a stray dog. The book starts with a girl named, India, who is a preacher's daughter but everyone calls her Opal. She lives in a trailer park with her father with a bunch of other preachers. When Opal goes to the grocery store, named, Winn-Dixie, she walks in on the store manager chasing a stray dog. The stray dog is described as being skinny and having numerous bald spots all over it. As it's running around, it ruins all the vegetable produce in the store, making the store manager furious.
Over my winter break, I took a few photos. My brother had gotten me a Macro lens for christmas. This was the gift that i used to get the two photos of my dog. I also took photos of me and one of my friends in the snow. It was a lot of fun taking these photos because we were just messing around, but we ended up loving all of them. We couldn't feel our hands or feet afterward, but it was worth it!
Right now I am pretty comfortable with my topic. It is definetly something that interests me and something that I believe I can do. I did not want to choose a topic that was too boring.
What I learned from wikispaces is that their are a lot of different comands that you can teach your dog. They are sorted out into the basic group and the intermediate group.
I volunteer every week at the North Shore Animal League. It's pretty fun working with animals. A lot of times I see behavior specialists working with the dogs.
Until a short while ago, I was convinced that I would most likely do my Personal Project on tattoos. They are interesting, unique and many people have them, however I do not.
