Recently I read pages 1-355 by Khaled Hosseini, and I really liked it. I think this is becuase i felt that the book was really realisitic the events that occured in the book were acutally things that happened in Afghanistan. I also like the character Hasaan because he seemed very down to earth and he actually went through a lot for his master.
One part of the book that really stood out for me was the fact that Sohrab, Hasaan's son, tired to drown himself in water and it was like he was trying to kill himself. I think this is so sad because he just wanted his old life back and I was really hurt that he would try to kill himself. It was sad for Sohrab because his whole life changed for the worse and then the better and then the worse.
Another part of the book that story that stood out for me was the part where Aamir the main character and narrorator was dazzled by a girl. He thought about her like all the time and looked forward to meeting her on Sundays. He wanted to know her and like get to know who she was.
