There have been fights and arguments about the criticisms of Abortion being legalize in many countries in the United States and other nations. Throughout many arguments within society, the congresses had not yet decided the status of abortion in the United States.

In the Declaration of Independence, and according to Martin Luther King Jr it says that “All men are created equal.” This means that all men and women are equal and that everyone has equal rights and equal and should be treated with equal respect. With abortion, being a controversial issue, are “all men” really created equal? Men should not tell women what to do with their bodies. Abortion should be pro-choice, legal and women should be able to choose whether they want to have an abortion or not.

In our world, there are thousands of children who need a home. Loving families adopt these kids, and take them into their loving comes, caring for them like they're their blood. Unfortunately, some of these families are denied adoption simply because of who they love- someone who is the same gender.

As much as Republicans would like to ignore it, there is indeed a war on women being waged on this country- and perhaps the reason why GOP candidate Mitt Romney was behind as much as 11 points from President Obama with women voters. However, the GOP still fails to recognize why this is so, believing that such a war doesn't exist, including this panel of women on the biased Fox News. In the 2012 Republican Party's platform, they explicitly stated their desire for a complete ban on abortion, not even mentioning cases of incest and rape.

Explaining the Issue - Gay Parenting

When discussing gay parenting, there are basically only two sides to the issue- being for it, or being against it. Many people believe that placing a child in a home with same-sex parents can be extremely harmful to the child. It is said that a child with same-sex parents is more likely to develop issues with mental health or even suicidal tendencies. It is argued that children who are put up for adoption already have unstable lives, and putting them into a home with same-sex parents would only worsen their case.

Equality isn't a social issue, it's common sense.

In our generation, win we hear "equal rights" we directly associate this phrase with LGBT rights- mainly in support of gay marriage. But personally, when I say, "I believe in equal rights" it means that I believe in equal rights for all. I believe in equal rights for the LGBT community- including marriage, visitation rights, the right to openly serve in the military (the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell), or to not be discriminated against in job selection.

I believe that same sex marriage should be legalized because marriage should be open to anyone, regardless of what sex they are. It's not like a homosexual marriage is an aberration of what marriage is supposed to be, like some people say. Rather than marriage being required to be between two people of the opposite sex, it should be between two people who love each other, regardless of their sex. People should have the right to be happy, and if marrying someone of the same sex does that for them, so be it.

    Controversy seems to follow Utah Senator Chris Buttars of West Jordan.  The Senator made racist comments last year when speaking about a school funding bill.
