Something that I have been very interested in learning more about has been graffiti, and whether or not it is an art. I remember having a conversation with my art teacher in my sophomore year of highschool debating whether or not graffiti was an art and an act of vandalism. I didn't research or look into the topic more because I didn't find it that important at the time. However, lately the issue has caught my eye again, and with the opportunity to learn more about it I decided to give it a chance. From what I've learned the consequences for "vandalizing" are extreme and a person can get a fine of up to 350$ per incident. For example I heard that there have been art museums set up with exhibits containing murals of graffiti art, which looked like a way to open up to the requested form of art. Now thats just what I heard so it could be true or false.
