This week I used various types of social media, such as Twitter and blogs, to further my research on animal testing. I was impressed to find an overwhelming majority of articles and posts violently opposing animal testing. I started off my research by going to the website for the well known animal rights activist group PETA. The first article I came across on PETA’s blog was basically an informative report about the new strides Israel has made in eradicating animal testing. About a week ago, Israel banned products that test on animals.

While researching on Google using the site operator I found three articles including .org, .edu, and .gov. The first article I researched was from the PETA website and discussed a type of hoarding called animal hoarding. People who animal hoard have a mental illness that can cause problems for the animals, family, and community. The environment for the animals within the hoarders home is very and unsafe and unsanitary.

There was this video that my friend showed that a member of PETA filmed while going undercover in the China fur farm and it basically showed the poor animal being skinned alive and it was horrible
