i must say, that not a day has gone by since i've gotten an account on twitter that I havent checked it. I dont know why but its the first thing i do in the morning, and continue to do throughout the day. i subconciously will go on it and religously read the updates. i understand that it is ridiculous but i dont think i can cut back or stop. just like myspace and facebook (even though myspace is dead right now) it is a way to socialize. many celebrities have an account on twitter, which was my reason for getting one. it allows me to know where and what they are doing, which in a way connects me with them. i now know so much about the people i care about than before i was involved with twitter. i feel like im close and personal with them, like im part of their life. i also think it goes both ways, that the celebrities feel like tehy can give more to their fans.
i think that overall, twitter is a positive thing. i think its good that its not complicated because then it would be just like myspace and facebook. its something different, simple, and fun. anyone can use it which is good because with myspace and facebook you need to know where to get layouts, how to edit, how to add pictures, etc...
