My name is Mahaut I go to BSGE. Before that I went to 141Q and before that for elementary school I went to P.S. 78 Q. I was born in 1998 and I'm in 7th grade. I live in a loft with my mom and dad and I have a half sister who does not live with me. My mom is french and my dad and I were born in America. I travel to France almost every summer to visit my mother's side of the family.
I have many interests. I enjoy drawing very much, as well as cooking, sewing, sculpting and making miniatures. I especially like drawing people's faces. In my free time I read, play video games, and watch things online. I watch a lot of animes and read many mangas online. One manga I like is called "Gakuen Alice". I also enjoy making home videos and claymations on Imovie. I still like running around outside and playing tag even though I'm twelve, and I do that on the weekends. I also have a lot of homework which takes up a lot of my time.
When I'm older I'd like to become a book illustrator and hopefully help an organization such as Peta with their work on helping animals. I believe that animals should be treated better by humans; humans should treat them as if they were human. Humans tend to not respect animals because they believe they are lower then them and kind of think of them as less important then humans.
For example, consider when that plane fell into the Hudson a couple years ago because geese flew into the plane's motor. All the people were okay but the geese were crushed to smithereens, and then we poisoned the geese, calling them annoying. I think that's not fair. What about all the snakes and reptiles that are skinned alive everyday for our shoes, and the cows kept in slaughter houses trapped, stuffed, and sick. I strongly believe we should work harder to come up with a better way to kill animals for food. I have a cat myself. Her name is Luna after the Harry Potter character (one of my favorite novels) and I know how great they are. Another one of my "philosophies" is that countries should not have armies. If no countries had armies then there would be less wars and wars are pointless.
