I'm a student at Windsor Senior High School in Windsor, Colorado.

Religion is all around us. No one person can go through life without coming into some sort of contact with one of the many religions that are out there. My life is far from being “strictly religious”. I do not even attend church. Yet I am still interested in what religion is and all that it has to offer. It is very interesting to me how some people can completely let religion take over their lives. How can you live, breath and sleep praising some sort of god and doing all you can to, say, impress that god. I do not understand how one can live their lives with restrictions and limitations because of their religious beliefs. In my opinion, that would not be a very fun life. Yet, on the other hand, I still consider myself a Christian and I still believe in God. I simply believe that there is a balance between religion and living life how one wants.

There are so many things to learn about religion. This is because of all the different kinds of religions and all the beliefs and practices affiliated with each. I would like to learn about all of these practices and the brief history and information on all of the major religions that are around all over the world. I think that the customs, practices, works, beliefs, and dress of each religion would be very interesting.

This is a question that many people over centuries have debated. Religion has basically shaped humanity ever since the prehistoric times. No i do not think that religion will ever disappear. I think that most people will always believe that there is some sort of higher power or “god” that is in control. If there was not a god then how did people come to be? People need some sort of explanation as to how humans, plants, animals, and the whole world altogether got here. I already know about the major religion of Christianity, yet I’m sure there is still a lot to learn. I know some of the beliefs and practices of some of the major religious groups around the world from briefly learning them in history classes. Yet I’d still be interested in learning more. Also weather or not it could possibly disappear.
