I'm a student at Windsor Senior High School in Windsor, Colorado. My question: Why do we fight in wars, when we know people will die? I believe the reason we fight in wars is because we need to show how powerful our country is, for boredom reasons, and territory . We have fought in many wars since the beginning of the united states. Some we have won others not so much, so why does this country continue to fight in wars we know we will not win?

One of the major reasons I think is because we just cant stay out of people's business. By this I mean that the us always has to be involved with something because if we weren't out government would be bored.
Another reason I believe is because the USA needs to show how power full it has become. Every other country needs to fear the us because we don't want to be tho losers of the world. I guess its a pride thing , and in my opinion stupid. We should just let people think what they want.

The last reason I think the us goes to pointless wars is because they need more people to control. In short the land we have now isn't good enough for some people, even though its one of the biggest counties there is. Territory is key, no maybe to imperialists but the last time I checked the USA wasn't that.
We are the most powerful country in the world, why do we need to fight to prover that? I don't know why we do, when we know its pointless. Why does the USA have to get involved with other countries business? I don't understand it and I never will.

So far I can't fine a single good reason we need to sacrifice the lives of innocent men and women. Nothing is worth dying for not even your country.
