   My name is Melanie. I’m 16 years old and is from Puerto Rico. I move to New Orleans from Puerto Rico for the first time in the world. Sometimes I can be friendly, but I can be hateful at the same time. I’m loyal to everything I do when it come to my time. Some people think that I’m mean, but the true is that I’m an loving independent person. I’m one of the five sliding in my family. My mom side of the family is Cuban and is a huge family. They have lots of brothers and sisters. My dad side of the family is Puerto Rican. At the same time my dad is the smallest family.

    School is like a second home to me. At school I’m very calm and talk to my friends. My favorite subject is ROTC at the time right now. ROTC is a good subject for me because it’s getting you ready for when you leave high school.  It’s like a big family in ROTC everybody respect one another. Everybody say that ROTC is not a good subject to take just because they have to wear their uniform. Whenever you have problems they will take care of you.

     When I get out of school and it’s time for me to go home. I just like to hang out with my friends at the pool and with my family. Most of the time, I’m at home doing something for my mom when she at work like my dad because they work all day long. I usually just stay home and clean. I mostly cook for my family when their not home. Cooking like the best thing I can do because I can become a chief. Something you have alots of people eating your food and you get a great respond.
