I'm a student at the Green Dot New York Charter School in the Bronx. I am a 16 year old male living in New York. I’m Dominican. I know that there are a lot of us in New York, but I want to make sure that I leave my imprint in this world. I love taking challenges that are hard to complete, but that’s what makes life interesting to me. When I was only 7, my father was taken away to prison. I haven’t talked to him in a long time and this makes my life a little harder.This means that I grew up without things that other teens had, like times with their father, playing sports, or even just going outside to take a walk. I was raised just by my mom which was hard for both of us

In school, I don’t let my weaknesses show. I enjoy Global, because it is interesting for me to know everything that happened in the past, and compare it to this time period. Another reason I enjoy Global is because I see as a way to learn from past mistakes. There are a lot of mistakes that people before us have done and global is a way to make sure not to do those same mistakes. I also enjoy reading, but I am really picky when it comes to picking a book. I need to read a book that is interesting to me and hooks me in the first time I read it. One thing that I am glad of is all the friends that I have recieved during these two years in the school of Green Dot. It was hard to come to a school so far away from my house and my friends have made it comfortable for me.

Out of school, I enjoy doing a lot of things. I enjoy doing new things, even if it seems extreme. I enjoy doing anything from skateboarding to paintballing. In the future, I want to try to free fall because it seems something that is exciting. I’m also good at editing videos. This is one skill that I got acquired when I met my friend. It is very challenging at times, but I find it to be a chance to let your inner creativity show. It is very challenging at times when you can’t think of anything. There is a huge learning curve when you are trying to get good at it, but I think that that’s what makes it fun. I feel as if the more skills I gather in my childhood, the more I can do and accomplish in the future.
