Will science one day find a cure for cancer?

I believe its a question we all have. I chose this topic because human health has always been of interest to me. Cancer has taken hundreds of thousands of lives and still continues to take more. The methods to prolong a persons life with cancer are brutal and they aren’t always effective. I look forward to a day that cancer will be nothing more than the average cold.

Cancer is an over growth of cells that continue to multiply at a fast pace.  Two years ago cancer took my uncles life. He wanted so badly to defeat it. After five years of fighting it though he was tired and ready to rest.  Science has already created miracles and I believe curing cancer is one to come. Hundreds of years ago nobody knew what an antibiotic was, or that a heart transplant was possible. Many studies are already taking place to cure cancer.

I still have many questions concerning how cancer could be cured. Will a cure be the solution for all types of cancer or just a select few?  Will there be a downfall to a cure, such as other health problems? With the advanced technology today how has a cure not been found? These questions often come to my mind. I do have hope that in my lifetime a cure will be found. Maybe I’ll even help find the cure.
