About

Jonathan

I,m16 years old and i go to ewsis in flushing nyc.  I like to read and write and listen to music. I  love music.  Im interested in  philosophy.

I am Jonathan Smith i'm 17 years old and i go to EWSIS. Some of the things that i am into are philosophy, health, medicine, viruses etc. I guess you could say that i am more on the intellectual side. I  study the human anatomy A lot.  I listen to lots of music and all different types. Anything that euphoric to my ears makes it,s way into my Ipod. I  watch A lot of movies, mostly horror and drama. I am the type that likes one on one conversations as oppose to group discussions. Some of my beliefs or views are that we all are here for a purpose and when i say that, i am not talking about career-wise, i mean we all should learn to give to each other when we can and help each other because its not just about doing it because of the benefits but just more for the obligational aspect and the human connection. I feel as though I still have so much to do and i owe people something. I do not want to delve any deeper into this because it would start to get a bit surreal or nutty if you will so yeah thats one of my beliefs. I would say my favorite sport is football. I like basketball but i don't watch television and even if i did, i do not have the patience to watch games for some reason. So yeah thats about it.

although alot has chnaged now

yup,not a kid anymore
sometimes i reminisce
on what it was like before

before the obvious maturity
what did people see
there would also have to be names
so what would they call me

                         i would use profanities
                         throw temper tantrums
                         aloof,a follower
                         a lunatics anthem

                          now youve glimpsed my past
                          ive given you a veiw
ive figure out what they would call me
                          they would call me cuckoo

 Silent like air

look at me now

                           ive come along way
                           from a walking rant
                           to "nothing to say"

why have i become like this
                          frankly i dont know
                          maybe a bad experience
                          a change of flow?

                          i have become elite
                          a master of the quiescent
                          noiseless,taciturn
                          to some its pleaseant

                           to others its strange
                           new,foreign
                           insecurities spill
                           cause my mouth isnt soaring

so this is the way i am
for all of u out there
                           you hear alot more
                            when your silent like air

What you can see from these two poems is obviously that ive changed alot. i went from a problem child to an angel on earth. I went from this loud obnoxious being to a quiet solemn kid. It wasnt a sudden change. over time this happened and i couldnt change it. In the first one,i seem kind of angry, i feel as if im just throing words out there to get my point across but in the second one,im alot more "poetic" if you will, alot more peaceful. So also the tone of the poems changed. also i talked about how much im veiwed diffrent now. I talk about what i was labeled and how that label changed. basically these two poems sum up my life. It feels as thouhg ive only went through 2 phases in my life so far when literally ive went through more.
