I'm a student at Bronx Academy Senior High in the Bronx. My name is Kayla, and I am seventeen years old. I live in Bronx, New York and I'm a senior at Bronx Academy Senior High School in South Bronx. I am an only child but I have four brother and three sisters from both my mother and father. Just recently reality hit me, I have been side track of my main priority-- school. I’ve been absent a lot and days when I do come to school I'm so far behind and I can't seem to focus. I'm now at a fork in the road in my life, and any move or mistake I make can and will determine my future. I have to change my life around, for the better, if I want to become someone in the near and distant future.

In school my favorite thing to do is classwork. I don't like when teachers stand in front of the class and talk, I like to do the work and turn it in. I find it, depending on what it is, very good use of my time in school instead of sitting there taking notes and listening. My favorite subject in school is Math, it's my favorite because it requires a formula or system. Once you understand the system you can't go wrong. My least favorite subjects are Science and History, They’re my least favorite because I'm not really good at it and they’re my weakest subjects.

Out of school I enjoy being with family , hanging out with friends, and having me time. When I'm with family it brings up my spirit and makes me forget about all my troubles. When im with my friends I like to have fun and go out places. Sometimes I go to their house and other times they come to my house, we watch movies or tv, listen to music, and talk about almost everything. When im having me time I'm in my room watching t.v, reading, or listening to music enjoying time with myself. But when I'm having problems it's hard to do anything, in fact anything. But now I have my priority straight and in order I hope to not have this problem anymore.
